Summer Solstice Ritual Celebration
Summer Solstice Ritual Celebration
Summer Solstice Ritual Celebration Circle: Last Quarter Moon.
Wednesday June 26, 8-10pm.Space 2033 invites you to welcome with us the turning of the wheel into summer, with ritual and community.
Summer solstice (which was on June 21st 11:54am EDT) is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere and the official start of the summer astronomically speaking.
Different cultures have honored this time with various ceremonies, dances, festivals, and traditions. It is also known as midsummer.Inside the sanctuary space here we honor all names for this time of year and all that aligns. All are welcome as we enter this last quarter moon, halfway between full and new.
We will reflect and sink into sacred space, in a restful atmosphere deeply held, with regard to nature, the elements, the human condition and the interconnectedness of life and well-being. There will be guided meditation, journey & ritual/ceremony woven throughout, and a summer altar, calling on themes of this time of year.
{June moon: strawberry moon. hot moon. mead moon. honey moon. hay moon. green corn moon. rose moon. moon of horses. planting moon. lotus moon. oak moon}……………………………………
(Kids are loved and welcome….but please do check in about it first – this is geared for adults, and part of it will be meditation, but kids can do wonderfully with this too.)
We have cushioned floor space with a limited # of chairs; you’re welcome to bring along whatever makes you most comfy. Donations / contributions welcome as always (suggested $15+ but please do not let that stop you, especially at this time). ♥
Please RSVP. See you there {{{{{O}}}}}
